About us · Poland.One

We once did not know what to do next either

We are Yurii and Andrii. Each of us has personal experience of moving, dealing with documents and adapting to life in Poland. Poland. One grew out of that experience.

We first looked for answers for ourselves

We first worked through our own statuses, documents, moves and life in Poland. Then we noticed that people around us kept facing the same questions.

Yurii suggested bringing our experience together in Poland. One, making it easier for others to find their next step.

Yurii

Co-founder · initiator of the Poland.One idea

Yurii is Belarusian. He was forced to leave Belarus because of political persecution. He later lived in Ukraine and, after the full-scale war began, moved to Poland, where he now lives under international protection.

He worked in charitable organisations that helped refugees take their first steps in a new country: legalisation, finding work and financial matters relating to PIT, JDG and spółka. This experience helped him understand the difficulties people face after moving and the support they need.

Yurii proposed creating Poland. One — combining both co-founders’ experience to help people navigate documents, language and business in Poland.

When you start life afresh yourself and help others through the same journey, you realise that people need a clear answer: what to do next.

Practical experience: legalisation, residence cards, long-term residence, employment and financial consultations on PIT, JDG and spółka.

Andrii

Co-founder of Poland.One

Andrii is Ukrainian and moved to Poland after the full-scale invasion began in 2022. He has Polish roots, but encountered difficulties documenting them.

His own experience prompted him to explore residence legalisation: documents, residence statuses, deadlines and possible routes. He knows how it feels when there is plenty of information but a clear answer to the question “what should I do next?” is missing.

He has around ten years of experience in accounting and financial support for projects run by non-governmental organisations. He develops his own digital services and is learning to design interactions between people and digital products — to make complex processes clearer and easier to use.

For him, Poland. One brings together his personal experience of moving, attention to documents and a desire to create services that help people move forward with confidence.

When I was sorting out my own documents, I wanted one place where someone would simply explain what would happen next.

Experience: accounting and financial support, working with documents, creating digital services and personal experience of adapting to life in Poland.

Two different journeys. Shared experience

Our journeys were different, but many questions were shared. A residence card does not end the story — life in a new country continues.

This experience shaped Poland.One

We turned our personal experience into practical decisions about the service.

One story, shared context

You do not have to start your story again. Different specialists work within the context of your case.

Clear responsibility and next step

The portal keeps status, agreements and messages together. You know what you need to do and what we are doing.

Documents only when needed

We explain what is needed and why. You provide documents through secure requests in the portal.

Start with one task

You do not need to buy full support. We agree scope and price before work starts.

We needed one place to see what was happening with our case

The portal shows where your case stands and what comes next, alongside messages, document requests and your appointments.

How we want to work with people

  • Do not promise what is outside our control
  • Do not request documents unnecessarily
  • Explain in plain language
  • Say who is responsible and what happens next

We do not pretend to know everything

Our experience helps us understand the client’s situation. It does not replace professional qualifications or guarantee an outcome.

When a task requires formal qualifications, a licence or specialist expertise, we involve a licensed TELC examination centre, a language school or teachers, an accountant, tax specialist, sworn translator or legal specialist. We coordinate the work and remain your point of contact.

We support clients in Polish, Ukrainian and Russian.

Tell us your situation

We may have faced a similar question ourselves or helped someone else work through it.
