Which Polish language certificate do you need for EU long-term residence and university study
You can pass a Polish language exam and still receive a certificate that does not meet your needs. You would then have to choose another exam, pay again and wait for a new document. That is why preparation should start with checking the requirements.
What level of Polish do you need
To obtain an EU long-term resident permit in Poland, you need proof of Polish proficiency at B1 or above. The official list includes the state certificate and ECL and TELC certificates at the appropriate level. For a degree taught in Polish, use B2 or above as your starting point. The exact requirements depend on the university, programme and your applicant category. Check them against the current rules. The name TELC B1·B2 does not mean you will necessarily achieve B2. What matters is the level shown in your result. An ordinary course completion certificate does not replace an official exam certificate.
How Poland One helps you obtain the right document
We check your goal, the document requirements and your submission deadline. If you have already completed education taught in Polish, we establish whether your educational documents can serve as proof of language proficiency. We then help you choose a suitable exam and handle the arrangements: finding a centre, contacting the organiser, registering you and tracking the steps towards receiving your certificate. We arrange preparation with a partner school and support from a certified examiner. Our team’s experience helps identify potential mistakes in choosing a document and registering for an exam. You prepare for the exam and level you need, rather than spending time on materials chosen at random.
Start by checking your situation
Send an enquiry to Poland One with your goal, city and submission deadline. We will suggest a clear route from preparation to receiving your document. Also check how long it takes to receive a certificate after the exam.
